The saving that matters is not the discount

An AMC runs 10–15% below the per-visit total, which is real but modest. The larger saving is avoiding the eighteen-month gap that happens because nobody was tracking it. A tank cleaned on schedule takes ninety minutes; the same tank at eighteen months has bonded biofilm and settled silt, needs longer jetting and often a second disinfection pass — and in the meantime your household drank from it.

Why committees in particular benefit

RWA and AOA committees change hands. Institutional memory does not survive that, and the usual failure is not a bad decision but a forgotten one. An AMC with scheduled reminders carries the frequency across committee changes without anyone having to remember.

Who should not bother

If you have one small tank on reliable DJB supply and you are genuinely disciplined about booking twice a year, pay per visit. AMCs earn their keep when there are multiple tanks, a sump involved, borewell or tanker supply, or a committee involved.
